Quick and Easy Snacks

Even if you eat three meals a day, you may still feel hungry at times. Between school, sports, homework and after school job there is not sufficient time left for healthy eating. And if you do stop to eat you may probably go for the quick and easy snack deals. For example potato chips, candy, etc.
A hectic routine demands a healthy food routine as well. Snacking on nutritious food can keep your energy level high and your mind alert without taking up a lot of your time. During your teenage and adolescence you may feel hungry a lot within short intervals, this is mainly because you are in the growing age and your body demands more nutrients to grow. Snacks are an awesome way to extinguish and satisfy that hunger as well as get all the vitamins and nutrients that your body needs.
But be smart and choosy about your snacks. Stuffing your belly with a large order of fries after breakfast may give you a temporary boost, but a snack this high in fat and calories will only slow you down in the long run. To save your-self from such rapid drop down of energy and most importantly avoid weight gain you should steer clear of foods with lots of simple carbohydrates for example sugar, which is commonly found in soda or candy bars.
Choose foods which have high level of complex carbohydrates for example, cereals and whole-grain breads; combine them with protein rich snacks such as peanut butter or low-fat yogurt or cheese. Now day milk can also be treated like a snack which is high in protein. Different flavors are available in the market which has converted milk into a fun drink.
Never forget what you eat is what you are. Eat healthy and live healthy!
